Welcome to Tiny Doorbell!
This blog/website/gathering place is focused on miniature things (items, dollhouses, etc.), but may veer off into any topic that pops into my head. About two years ago I bought my first dollhouse and immediately got out my saw and tools and tore most of it apart so that I could make new doors and windows. It was my first time doing anything like that and I really loved it! I loved experimenting and seeing what I could do and what looked like different things and at the time I purposely did not do research on what most people were doing, making, or using. Sometimes I think that figuring things out on your own leads to different ideas than you might find if you do what’s already being done. Sometimes, however, that’s a really stupid way to do things because other people have put in so much time and work to figure it out that it would be so much easier to follow their lead – sometimes I don’t make smart choices.
Just about when I got to the point where I was ready to really dig into that dollhouse, we sold our house and moved, forcing me to get rid of it as we moved into an apartment with limited space so everything kind of got put on hold.
Now we’ve been in our house for a full year and I’m finally getting back to things that make my soul happy. I love working with my hands and I’m looking forward to renovating and decorating my newest dollhouse that I found on Facebook marketplace!
